WELCOME TO GIADA PRIMARY SCHOOL

Education for Hope and Transformation

Message from the head mistress

It is with great joy and heartfelt gratitude that I welcome you to the official page of Giada Primary School, located in Mkwanda Village, under Traditional Authority Chimwala, in Mangochi District.

Giada Primary School is more than just a school—it is a vision in motion, a beacon of hope for the children of this community, and a symbol of what is possible when people come together for the good of education. Though we are still in the early stages of development, with one classroom block currently serving Standards 1 and 2, our mission is clear: to build a full primary school that provides quality education from Standard 1 to 8.

With over 250 enthusiastic learners already enrolled and guided by a small but committed team of three teachers, we are laying the foundation not only for classrooms but for a bright future. We are proud to have two teachers’ houses and hope to build more trusting in Divine Providence. As part of our efforts to create a stable and supportive learning environment for both students and staff Giada Primary School should eventually have at least 12 teachers’ houses and 10 classrooms.

----Susan Zimba - Headteacher----

We thank the generous support of Pellegrini Trasporti in Verona, Italy who funded the initial 2 classrooms, 2 teachers’ houses, 1 bore hole, 120 classroom desks and 6 toilets. We also extend our thanks to the unwavering dedication of Rev. Fr. Joseph Kimu, whose love for education continues to inspire us all.

We invite you to be part of our journey. Whether you are a parent, a partner, a well-wisher, or a future supporter, your interest in Giada Primary School means the world to us. Together, we can build a school that transforms lives and uplifts our community which is in a very remote area in Mangochi for generations to come.
