Enrolment Process
St. John Girls’ Boarding School is a Catholic Private Secondary School situated in Mangochi district along Mangochi – Blantyre road next to DMI – St. John the Baptist University.
The School originated from St. John Nursery School which is an Early Childhood Development Centre for children between 3 and 5 years.
It was a dream of the institution to open a girls’ boarding primary school to be offering an Integral Education for Girls as a way of enhancing a girl child education in Malawi and in Africa. And having St. John Girls’ Primary School and Secondary School it’s a dream come true for the institution.
St. John Girls’ Boarding School is a private school whereby learners are supposed to sit for entry examinations in both Primary and Secondary Schools which are administered in the last term of each academic calendar.
ST. JOHN GIRLS' SECONDARY SCHOOL OVERVIEW
2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR
The entrance examinations for the 2026/2027 School Academic Year for both St. John Girls’ Secondary School and St. John Girls’ Primary School will be held on Saturday 13th June, 2026 and the results will be released on 30th June, 2026.
Parents/Guardians are supposed to obtain or request a Registration Form for both Primary and Secondary School and fill in all the required details and information in it.
A non – refundable Registration Fee of MK15,000.00 is required to be deposited into the School Back Account provided and the proof of payment is to be brought together with the Registration Form during Entrance Examinations with the student.
The school Accountant will verify the Bank statements on any entry of the Registration Fees whereby if a students’ proof of payment will be missing or happen to not have paid the registration fee but sat for examinations, the school will have the right to dismiss and disqualify that particular student.

The Entrance Examinations will be administered in the following centres across Malawi;
- Mangochi at St. John Girls’ Secondary School Campus
- Blantyre at James Chiona Catholic High School
- Dedza at Dedza Roman Catholic Primary School
- Lilongwe at St. Johns Catholic Secondary School (near Msamba Catholic Parish)
REQUIREMENTS
The students are reminded to bring the following when they will be coming to sit for Entrance Examinations;
- 1 passport size photos
- Pen, Pencil, Rubber & Ruler (Mathematical Instrument)
- Deposit slip of Registration fee
- Printed Mo626 Registration fee
- Recent School Report
