OUR ACTIVITIES
The activities of St. John Early Childhood Development Centre were categorized as follows:
- Agriculture section
– Which deals with providing loans to small scale farmers.
– Distribution of treadle pumps. - Health section
– It deals with malnourished children
– Lonely old people and people living with HIV and AIDS. - Education section
– We focus on every child’s education from Nursery School to the university.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
In recent times, the St. John Early Childhood Development Centre has achieved the following;
- A full primary school
- Two Nursery schools hosting about 1,000 kids of ages 3 to 5
- A Nutrition Centre saving lives of over a thousand malnourished children per year
- Home-based assistance for the elderly and HIV and AIDS affected people
- Women Development Centre for empowering women
- Treadle pump for irrigation project
- Paying school fees for about 200 poor and orphaned primary, secondary and university students
- St. John Guest House (IGA)
- Fish ponds x12 (IGA)
- Day Care Centre assisting about 60 kids aged between 0 and 3 years
- Girls’ Primary Boarding School
- Girls’ Secondary Boarding School
- Adult Literacy Education
- Dairy cattles (IGA)
- Chimanga project for empowering poor families
- Water for Life Project: Boreholes providing potable water to remote poor villages in memory of Bishop Alessandro Assolari
- Maize Mill and Sheller
